Sponsorship Opportunities

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is holding its annual national conference in Hobart from 21-24 October 2010. We would like to invite you to join us this at key event. As a sponsor, exhibitor or advertiser, you will access the thriving Community Broadcasting sector:

  • Australia's Largest Media Sector: 526 community radio and television services across Australia
  • Strong Sector Growth: the number of long term licensed community broadcasters has risen by almost 50% since 1996
  • Community Participation: engaging 23,000 volunteers and 1000 support staff nationwide
  • Growing Audiences: community radio boasts an audience base of 9.5 million (57% of the population) with audience growth of 20% between 2004-8
  • Multi-platform: Community radio stations broadcast in analog, stream content online and podcast.

The CBAA is the national peak body for community radio and television.  It provides leadership, advocacy and support for its members to facilitate independent broadcasting services and to build and strengthen local communities (each week 46,000 hours of community radio and hundreds of hours of television programming are produced).

If you have products, solutions or services that can assist the broadcasting industry, the CBAA 2010 Conference provides you with the opportunity to get your organisation in front of community broadcasters from around Australia. The theme for this year’s conference is Let’s Take Charge of our Future with plenary sessions and workshops covering subjects such as Good Business Practice, Community Building, Youth Engagement, Programming and Content, Technology and Skill Development.

To get your brand to conference delegates, you can sponsor one of these workshops or a social event; you can advertise in the program or include a flyer in the satchels. The conference also features a popular trade exhibition, where broadcasting equipment companies to community development programs showcase products and services.  We have structured a number of sponsorship and advertising packages, ranging from $300 - $10,000, but we are also happy to negotiate other packages or proposals tailored to your specific needs.
