2013 Reclink Community Cup - Band Line-Up Announced

The annual Reclink Community Cup, a charity football match between the PBS FM / Triple R Megahertz and the Rockdogs, comprised of Melbourne's rock royalty, will be fought at Elsternwick Park, Melbourne on Sunday 23 June.
Although the annual footy match between local community broadcasters and the Melbourne rock fraternity remains the centrepiece of the day, the entire event promises to be huge.

This year’s theme is ‘Be Suburban’, paying tribute to legendary cult band Beasts of Bourbon, who will be performing on the day.

Joining them on stage will be garage pop duo Super Wild Horses, psychedelic rockers King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard and retro pop artist Justine Clarke.

Preparations are well underway for what promises to be a great day out, one that carries on the proud 20 year long tradition. From what started out as a humble football match amongst the local music fraternity is today an event which last year saw over $70,000 raised and 9000 in attendance. Today, the Reclink Community Cup is an integral part of the Melbourne music and sporting event calendar.

The event raises funds for Reclink Australia, who use sport and the arts to enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and targets some of the community’s most vulnerable and isolated people - those experiencing mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, addiction, and social and economic hardship.
