On 8 December, 4ZZZ will celebrate its 40th birthday.

4ZZZ is one of the longest running community stations in Australia, and loves to throw a party, so will celebrate with an action-packed 10 days of fun.

Throughout the 10 days of celebrations from 4 - 13 December, they'll be running plenty of special on-air programming, including on the official birthday, 8 December, a special news and current affairs retrospective showcase with a re-broadcast of our first 1975 broadcast at midday, along with an afternoon and evening celebrating Brisbane music over the last 40 years and 4ZZZ's heavy involvement. Also keep an ear out for the return of former announcers from the last four decades back to the mics to present their memories and music!

Events include a night market, reunion dinner, gigs and the 4ZZZ Hot 100. More information is available on the 4ZZZ website.
