Community Radio Network logoHelp us mark International Women's Day 2017 with radio content that can be heard around the country.

The CBAA is inviting stations and broadcasters to submit short audio segments for national distribution ahead of International Women’s Day on Wednesday, 8 March, through the Community Radio Network (CRN) program distribution service.

This is a great opportunity to create new content, or repackage some highlights from the recent past. The content will be made available to broadcasters to use on their local airwaves, and we're particularly seeking audio based around this year's theme #BeBoldForChange.

What we're looking for
  • Content needs to be made by women and featuring women
  • Maximum 5 minutes per segment - keeping it short will make it easier for hosts to use within their local shows
  • A segment needs to be nationally relevant and suitable for airplay as a standalone piece
  • Multiple segments on a topic are welcome
Some questions to guide your submission
  • Can your piece connect with the 2017 theme #BeBoldForChange?
  • Is your content designed to inspire, to educate, to inform, to entertain?
  • Do you have contacts to interview a woman who’s a high achiever in her chosen field?
  • Could you put the spotlight on talented and dedicated female arts and culture practitioners?
  • Is there a local community worker who deserves wider recognition?
  • Can you help share teachings or cultural practices that deserve attention?
How to submit
  • The deadline for submissions is Monday, 20 February.
  • Production guidelines are available here.
  • Submit your content via this form.
