CBAA welcomes the appointment of The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP as Minister for Communications.

Having worked closely with her in her role as Shadow Minister, she has a deep understanding of community broadcasting and its role in the broader media landscape.

“Minister Rowland brings a nuanced understanding of community broadcasting, and the important role it plays for all Australians,” said CBAA CEO Jon Bisset.

“CBAA will continue to work closely with the Minister's office to ensure that community broadcasting has a sustainable funding base and supportive regulatory environment. We're looking forward to continuing this work with the new Minister."

The CBAA also extends its thanks to the former Minister for Communications Paul Fletcher MP for his work in the portfolio and support for community radio.
