The CBAA is pleased to present the February 2013 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month we find out about ReachOut.com, a website dedicated to young people's mental health and well being, and a great place for young people to find information, support, online communities and much more.

We learn about the Butterfly Foundation, which provides support, information, and links to service providers and recovery groups for people affected by eating disorders.

We hear about a new DVD that has been developed to help parents who experience depression or anxiety to talk with their children about their illness.

We also profile a range of suicide prevention and mental health services, including Children of Parents with a Mental Illness, beyondblue, Mensline Australia, Lifeline Australia, and the Suicide Call Back Service.
