Deutsche Welle has selected Sean Goodwin to join their newsroom team in Germany commencing March 2020!

The CBAA would like to congratulate Sean for successfully being chosen as the paid intern for Deutsche Welle, a renowned international broadcaster based in Bonn, Germany. Sean has broadcast experience from SURG FM, which broadcasts out of the University of Sydney, and holds a Master of Journalism, as well as an Economics Degree.

Sean’s internship journey will kick off in March next year starting at Deutsche Welle’s culture online department in Bonn before moving to DW Television Economics Department in Berlin. It is a paid internship where Sean will gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced newsroom team environment, as well as being exposed to international stories and media.

Deutsche Welle are proud to be able to offer this exciting internship opportunity to community broadcasting radio and online journalists and excited to have Sean on board with them next year.

Sean is equally as excited to be joining the DW team and says,

“I’m thrilled to have been chosen for the Deutsche Welle paid internship in Germany in 2020. The opportunity to build my skills in the newsrooms one of Europe’s most highly regarded broadcasters is incredibly valuable to a young journalist like myself. It will be a diverse experience working in both the economics editorial team in Berlin, and the culture online team in Bonn. I look forward to learning from some of Deutsche Welle’s remarkable journalists and gaining vital practical experience working in an international environment.”

The CBAA wishes Sean all the best during his internship journey with Deutsche Welle in 2020.

Deutsche Welle is a proud partner of the CBAA.
