The CBAA in conjunction with the Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO) has launched the 2014 series of free webinars for community broadcasters.

Held on the evening of Tuesday 27 May, the first CMTO/CBAA Webinar of 2014 looked at the always relevant topic of fundraising. Community broadcasters rely on the financial support of their respective communities to remain viable. Although sponsorship has traditionally served as the preferred method for raising revenue, there are a range of alternative streams available for stations to utilise.

Guest speakers included 3MBS Station Manager Anne Frankenberg, who discussed the running of large scale fundraising events, and Meg O’Connell, formerly of 2XX-FM in Canberra, examining the benefits, difficulties and tasks associated with running a successful crowdfunding campaign.

You can view the content from the Fundraising webinar via the video below.

Further details about 2014 Webinars will be available soon.
