Diana comes to the CBAA with a wealth of experience in Australia's arts and creative industries, including work as a Studio Manager at Animal Logic and over a decade of experience supporting the arts sector nationally at Screen Australia and the Australian Directors’ Guild.
We're looking forward to seeing her unite our teams to support our members and fulfill our goal of building stronger broadcasters.
What drew you to community radio and the CBAA?
Community radio is an essential part of the arts ecosystem, and the CBAA plays a pivotal role in helping our communities thrive. I am excited and passionate about supporting creatives, bringing people together and collaborating with our diverse range of members to achieve genuine outcomes for the sector.
Do you have any favourite stations or programs?
I have a broad listening taste, primarily music and everything from jazz and eclectic to hip hop and metal and the history behind them all. I couldn’t possibly pick favourites. Australia is so fortunate to have such a unique and diverse range of stations and programs and the ongoing support from the federal government.
What have you learned (or are most interested in learning about) in the community broadcasting sector?
Everyone at CBAA is so passionate about the sector and I’m really excited to learn more about the projects we bring to our members and how we can support them in the best possible way.
What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?
As a manager you are only as good as the team around you. I’ve got an amazing team who have so much more to give to the sector and with Jon’s incredible vision for the future, I look forward to helping my team achieve their goals, be proactive, and build collaborations in order to better support our members.
