Step into the world of Live in the Room, with two seasons available through the Community Radio Network available from the studios of 2oceansfm in beautiful Port Augusta. 

Mike is a long time musician himself, being a songwriter since he begain playing music almost 30 years ago. Mike has a taste for all things Outlaw Country, Americana, Indie, Blues and even Aussie Punk sounds, Mike's the perfect person to converse with these young, up and coming artists about their craft, their inspirations, and their processes. 

Focusing on original music, songs are recorded live in the studio with accompanying in-depth interviews. 

Live in the Room is an easy listen with a timeless appeal, with wonderful recorded studio performances that feel intimate and heart warming. It will certainly be leaving you wanting more from these inspiring artists.

Season 1

Sunnyside Janine has a background of music study in Paris, and this sophistication shows in her songwriting, and singing.  Teamed with partner, Joel, and 11 month old Sunny, they are Sunnyside. A Jazz delight. Your host, Mike Goodwin accompanies on cajon.
Brayden Sibbald Brayden blends masterful songwriting with electronic loops, guitar, and an amazing voice, to create his unique and flawless sound. 
Mac Diarmada Mac writes from the heart, and his storytelling is complimented with his resonant vocals. A solid guitar player Mac blends open tunings to create his unique sound.
Ricky Green Ricky is a fine guitar player and his dynamic vocal range is captivating. He is also an accomplished songwriter, and a genuinely super nice person.
The Moody Cows Miranda and Sarah are sisters with a different approach to song writing, tied together with vocal harmonies reminiscent of days gone by. Together they produce a show not to be missed.
Kiera Jas Kiera Jas has a beautiful collection of songs with an uplifting energy and an angelic voice to match. It would seem she’s out to heal the world, one note at a time. Don’t let her youth deceive you, she is a rising star!
Dan White Dan is an extremely accomplished musician with an enchanting voice. Already prolific in the Western Australian music scene, Dan White offers insights into being successful int this industry.
Laine Wolfe The extraordinary talent of a one woman band, with her trademark custom made suitcase drum. Laine Wolfe is guaranteed to make you smile with her original roots and country rock songs.

 

Season 2

Tracey Barnett Tracey is the real deal, with a swag of original songs, she’s done some hard yards to stay with her passion, music. An advocate of touring and a new single to release, her story is a must tune in.
Danny Bau A gentle giant, Danny writes songs for all to hear, and there’s even a touch of hip hop. Danny’s name was up in lights at the AFL Western Derby where he performed.
Graeme Dickinson Collecting guitars is a passion for Graeme, and playing his original rhythm and blues, including an impromptu performance from Louis his red cloud kelpie!
Sean Beckled Egglington Guitarist for a successful south west band, The Acetones, Sean is exploring looping and experimentation as a solo performer.
Darcy Hay Darcy Hay is a seasoned guitarist of staggering ability. His impeccable finger picking guitar style is complimented with moving lyrics and an iconic Australian vocal sound, Darcy Hay is a name you will be hearing a lot more.
Mike Goodwin Mike Goodwin has spent the last twenty five years honing his skills playing in cover bands around Margaret River and its surrounding areas. Recently he began working on his own original music and earlier this year released a four track EP. Mike discusses this process and how the final tracks were laid down.
Scott Wise Scott is a veteran of the music industry, and a world renowned luthier  maker, he shares his original music and passion for his craft. Hear his unique journey from humble beginnings.
