National Volunteer Week 2015 - Wrap Up

A big shout out to the stations around Australia that participated in National Volunteer Week last week (11 - 17 May)!

What a welcome opportunity to celebrate our THOUSANDS of community broadcasting volunteers.

Here's a bit of a wrap on some things that happened around the sector:

  • 4ZZZ Street Soundzzz Youth Day 2015The CBAA would like to join 2RRR in congratulating Jeffery Che Fair Tse (Healthy Living presenter), Hardi Ho Sum Lam (Sydney Good Living presenter) & office volunteer Sharon Whitbourn for being nominated for Volunteer of the Year at the recent City of Ryde 2015 Volunteer Recognition Awards.
  • Also thanks to Ross from 4ZZZ for sharing this happy snap (right) of some young volunteers that helped him run the BBQ for the station's recent Street Soundzzz Youth Day.
  • SYN staff got their volunteer on, lending a helping hand around the station and showing their appreciation for the station's 700+ volunteers. Check out some photos here.
