PBA FM’s radio and internet project Park Friends was a finalist in the Media Category of the World Environment Day Awards 2012.

Presented in Melbourne on Friday evening 8 June, the main award went to ABC TV’s Foreign Correspondent program on Sumatran Tigers. However, as a finalist, it was great to have Park Friends, recognised in the company of strong entries from ABC TV and SBS TV.

PBA FM would like to thank all who contributed to this project, especially all of the many interviewees, and the many people from the Friends of Black Hill and Morialta who gave freely and generously of their time and expertise in so many ways.

PBA FM would also like to acknowledge the assistance of the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board, without whose support, this project would not have been possible.

PBA-FM is a Community Radio Station broadcasting to the northern suburbs of Adelaide, in South Australia. Click through to view the Park Friends website, or find out more about PBA FM here.
