Melbourne's PBS 106.7 has launched it's radio festival for 2016 with the theme 'Take The Plunge'.

Running 16 - 29 May, the independent, non-profit communtiy radio station will call on all listeners to sign up to the station so that they can keep riding the radio waves.

PBS 106.7 FM is dedicated to championing local, specialist and underrepresented music. From the presenters of today and the thousands of voices involved in the station’s history since 1979, PBS has helped celebrate and shape Melbourne's music and arts scenes – a champion of sounds from the depths of the community and a pool of conversation from all cultural corners.

PBS is fuelled by the passionate knowledge, and extensive record collections of the volunteer broadcasters and its engaged and discerning listeners. On any given day, programs may range from country, blues and roots to local and far-flung garage, rock and punk, as well as taking dips into cutting-edge electronica, lo-fi soul, dusty hip-hop, free jazz and more.

Signing up or renewing your PBS membership means Melbourne can continue soaking up a soundtrack provided by dedicated announcers, who volunteer their time to fish out the best music for listeners to enjoy. You will also be in the running for a bucket load of prizes.

Call on 03 8415 1067 or sign up online between 16 - 29 May to join the PBS community and Take The Plunge.
