The CBAA has partnered with Creative Victoria as part of the Victorian Government’s On The Road Again initiative to bring live music back to regional Victoria.

With community radio a vital cultural hub for so many regional areas across Australia, this exciting project sees five Victorian community radio stations curate and produce a live music event – each bringing their town together in the name of the Australian music they champion every day of the year.

Regional music development is key to the growth in dynamism and diversity within the Australian music industry. The breadth and expanse of community radio in Australia is key to this growth, especially at a time when musicians need committed infrastructure and support. Managed by CBAA’s Amrap, (Australian Music Radio Airplay Project) the CBAA’s role in On The Road Again will help stations to reinvigorate live music in regional Victoria, encouraging pathways for local musicians to connect, create and thrive together.

CBAA Amrap Manager Andrew Khedoori said:

“We’re thrilled to be involved with the Victorian Government’s On The Road Again. Community radio reflects the lifeblood of local activities in regional areas of Australia, and On The Road Again allows community radio stations to develop skills in producing events that engage, unite and excite their community. Amrap has shared its music industry knowledge and experience with these stations, workshopping and nurturing the process of creating live music events, empowering them to help shape local live music culture for years to come.”
