The WAMi Festival kicks off on Saturday 26 May and culminates on Saturday 2 June with the Northbridge Saturday Spectacular, Awards Ceremony and Closing Party. As in previous years, RTRfm will broadcast live throughout the Saturday Spectacular from Northbridge, bringing listeners WA music and interviews live from the event.

As part of the festival, the WAMi Music Film Showcase celebrates the West Australian music scene as captured on film through the lens of local filmmakers. 33 music videos and nine short films and documentaries will feature on the Northbridge Piazza Screen with free daily screenings during the WAMi week.

The Northbridge Saturday Spectacular, supported by the City of Perth, will feature 56 local acts playing eight stages from midday to 6:00pm on Saturday 2 June. RTRfm will be broadcasting live throughout the day from the Northbridge Piazza, weather permitting, where listeners will be entertained by The Autumn Isles, Simon Kelly and The Big Bamboo, Seams, The Brow Horn Orchestra, Runner, James Teague and The Stoops.

RTR's Peter Barr and other presenters will be chatting to bands, crowd members and industry faces through out the day, so pop down and say hi to the RTRfm team at the event.
