6.30pm AEDT on Wednesday, 23 January 2019

As of 2 January 2019, applications are open for both the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) Development & Operations and Content grants.

The CBF is a not-for-profit organisation proudly supporting community media. Each year, they give community broadcasters across Australia more than $16.8 million to help them share their stories and create connections.

Development & Operations grants assist the ongoing development of community broadcasting throughout Australia. These grants aim to maintain, expand and/or strengthen the operations and broadcast capabilities of community broadcasting organisations through support for core operations, development projects and necessary infrastructure.

Content grants support the development, production and distribution of original content via Australian community radio and/or television broadcasters and associated platforms.

Join us as the CBF provide guidance on the grant application process.

Our webinar will:

  • Provide an in-depth description of what station activities and initiatives are eligible for grant funding
  • Provide tips to help you submit the best grant application possible
  • Familiarise applicants with SmartyGrants, the CBF's application platform
  • Give a brief overview of the changes to Child Protection regulations and how they pertain to CBF grant applications

Presented by: Dean Linguey - CBF Grants Support Team

Dean discovered the diversity of expression and voices on community radio in the early 1980’s and is still tuning in today. Prior to joining the Community Broadcasting Foundation, Dean was at Creative Victoria (formerly Arts Victoria) developing and implementing funding programs and initiatives such as Music Works (contemporary music), Arts Development (all art forms) and the Victorian Public Sculpture Fund.

CBAA webinars are presented with support from the Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO).
