The surveys provide invaluable feedback to the community broadcasting sector and local community stations about trends, listeners and the sector itself. This information is freely available to the community broadcasting sector via a series of Fact Sheets, and can be used as part of marketing & sponsorship proposals.

They'll look back over the Australian charts between 1965 and 1985, and play the number one song on New Year's Day for each of those years. There's also a little guessing game in there for the listeners.
