Chelsea Wilson is a Melbourne based vocalist, songwriter, broadcaster and DJ with a love of jazz, soul, funk and latin music. Earning her performance stripes overseas Chelsea completed seven 6-month international residency contracts throughout Japan, The USA, The Caribbean, The UAE, Thailand and Indonesia before taking up post as PBS FM’s Music Manager and recording her debut album I Hope You’ll Be Very Unhappy Without Me (to be released in August).  Recently Chelsea performed at the opening night at Melbourne Cabaret Festival and the sold out Women of Soul show. Currently she produces and presents weekly PBS FM radio program Jazz Got Soul. 

 

In her capacity as Music Manager she has set up interviews with Marva Whitney, Bobby Womack, Johnny Lydon, India Arie, Mavis Staples, Alice Cooper, Morcheeba, Grandmaster Flash, Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones. 

 

 

Paris Pompor has been eeking out a meagre part-time existence as an arts journalist since the mid-90s. Starting out in Sydney's street press scene and progressing through just about every glossy music magazine and website Australia has launched and liquidated over the last two decades, he also worked briefly for SBS Radio Alchemy and was the editor for one of Australia's first arts websites, POD which ran out of Fox Studios. Currently freelancing with Fairfax titles The Sydney Morning Herald and Sun Herald, he also hosts two weekly radio programs on community stations 2SER and Eastside FM and is the co-host and curator for live interview series In Conversation.

 

Some of his favourite interviews with musicians include Martha Wainwright, Erykah Badu, Ari Up (The Slits), Nicky Siano, Bobby Womack and Sérgio Dias of Os Mutantes.

 

 

Chris has worked in the music and radio sectors as a sound engineer, radio station manager and new-media consultant. At just 22 years of age Chris was appointed station manager of Edge Radio in Tasmania, which he managed over its first five years. He successfully led the station toward a swag of accolades including the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s ‘Community Radio Station of the Year’ award (2003). Chris also won the 'Career Achievement' category at the 2006 Tasmanian Young Achiever awards. He sat on Arts Tasmania’s grants advisory panel to allocate funds to artists, community radio’s national Digital Radio Standing Committee, and more recently on the Music Council of Australia.

 

Chris was appointed to manage AMRAP in October 2008 when the project was revitalised with commonwealth government funding. He places a high priority on creating unique cross platform services (like AirIt and AMRAP Pages) to meet the changing needs of the community radio and Australian music sectors.
