Print

Grant funding is crucial to the financial stability of community broadcasters nationwide. Hundreds of stations have benefitted from grants offered by the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF), an independent non-profit funding agency that seeks, secures and distributes funding to support the development, creativity and sustainability of community broadcasting in Australia.

The aim of this webinar is to assist stations in writing effective, comprehensive grants for both CBF funding applications and for the many other grant opportunities available to community broadcasters.

Presented by:

  • Jo Curtin - CBF Senior Grants Administrator: Jo has been involved with community broadcasting for more than 15 years at all levels of operations. As part of her role as Senior Grants Administrator, Jo works closely with the CBF Executive Director and Board on strategic planning, policy development and better practice in grant-making.
  • Mason Smith - 2RRR Content & Youth Coordinator: In addition to all his great work for Sydney's 2RRR, a station that seeks to inform, entertain and unite their local community, Mason helps oversee Youth Jukebox, Sydney’s youngest drive time program. Youth Jukebox have been able to greater connect young people and engage them in civic participation with the assistance of CBF funding.
