The CBAV (Community Broadcasting Association of Victoria) has undertaken a number of new initiatives in the past year to promote the ability of the community broadcasting sector to co-ordinate itself and deliver services that might be of value to the wider community.

One such project is 'Same Song, Same Time' which will see a broad cross section of Victorian community broadcasters broadcasting the same song at the same time. This initiative is an official event for National Youth Week and supported by the Victorian Government.

Last year, some 19 stations across Victoria were involved in the initiative, simultaneously broadcasting the song 'Family Love' by Australian rap duo Yung Warriors.

This year's chosen song is 'If You Were Here', composed and written by young Victorian musician, Chris O'Neill.

Stations wishing to get involved are asked to contact the CBAV via [email protected] or the CBAV facebook page for instant reports on the day.

Further information is available at the CBAV website.
