The 2018 CBAA Conference is set to take place from 8 - 11 November on the Gold Coast, QLD. Below you'll find answers to some frequently asked questions about this event.

What if I have special dietary requirements?

If you have a special dietary requirement, please indicate this on your registration form.

What's the dress code?

The dress code for the conference is neat casual attire.

Do I need to wear my name badge all the time?

Yes please, your name badge is your entrance ticket to all Conference sessions. 

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Yes. If you are unable to attend for any reason, just let us know via [email protected] as soon as possible who you would like to send in your place. Please note, however, that a concession ticket cannot be transferred to an attendee who is not eligible for a concession discount. 

Can I update my registration information? / Can I change the names of registered attendants after purchase?

Yes,  alterations can be made by logging back into your registration via the website. This includes being able to update the names of people attending from your station. Alterations to your registration will not be accepted over the telephone. To access your registration, you will need to enter both your email address and registration reference number supplied at the time of the original registration. 

The name on the registration / ticket doesn't match the attendee.  Is that OK?

Yes, as long as the ticket has been pre-paid and the new attendee is eligible for the same ticket type (e.g. concession or non-concession), we are happy to accommodate a last minute change if required. Please let us know by emailing [email protected]. Notice is preferable where possible.

Can registrations be shared between more than one attendee?

No, a registration may only be used by one individual across the whole conference event.

Where do I go to register when I arrive at the conference?

The Registration Desk will be centrally located onsite at the Conference venue for collection of name badges and Conference materials. Staff will be on hand to answer any queries and provide information. Opening times and location of desk will be advised closer to the Conference.

What are the terms and conditions for registering for the conference?

Registration Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before Friday, 7 September 2018 will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of $250.00. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.

Social Program Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received after Friday, 7 September 2018 will not be refunded. 

Accommodation Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing to the Conference Organisers. Please refer to the individual hotel cancellation policies. The Conference Organisers cannot guarantee new bookings or amendments to existing bookings after Friday, 5 October 2018.

Privacy Policy

All information obtained by ICMS Pty Ltd (2018 CBAA Conference Organisers) is dealt with in a uniform manner and every effort is made to maintain its security. In registering for this Conference, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all delegates (name, institution and state/country only). Details may also be made available to parties directly related to the Conference including venue and accommodation providers (for the purpose of room bookings and Conference options), key sponsors (subject to strict conditions) and to inform you via email of future CBAA Conferences and Events. Individuals are entitled to access, correct or update any personal information being held by written application to the Conference Organisers. If you are concerned that your personal information is being handled incorrectly please contact the Conference Organisers on 1300 792 466 or [email protected]. ICMS Pty Ltd takes all privacy enquiries seriously and will endeavour to respond in a prompt manner.

Registration Alterations & Cancellations

Alterations to your registration will not be accepted over the telephone. Alterations can be made by logging back into your registration via the website. To access your registration you will need to enter both your email address and Registration Reference Number supplied at the time of the original registration. If you encounter any difficulties with the above please email [email protected].

Payment

Full payment MUST be received prior to the 2018 CBAA Conference. Registration cannot be confirmed until payment is received. Accommodation cannot be confirmed until credit card details are received. Please note if your registration is made less than two weeks prior to the Conference the only payment option available is credit card. Payment can be made in the following ways:

Credit Card Payment

Visa, Mastercard & AMEX accepted

Cheque Payment

Please make cheque/bank draft Australian Dollars payable to “CBAA Conf” and mail to the Conference Office. International delegates please note: Cheque payment must be received by way of an Australian drawee bank. On receipt of your payment, confirmation will be emailed to you. It is advisable to check all items listed.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Please note that the Conference will accept payments via electronic funds transfer. The Conference bank details will be supplied on the invoice generated at the completion of your registration. Please include your reference number as a reference on the deposit and forward your remittance advice to the Conference Office.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time of your registration for the Conference and when booking your travel that you take out an insurance policy of your choice. In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, the Conference Organisers nor CBAA accept responsibility for loss of monies incurred by you. The Conference Organisers nor CBAA accept liability for injuries/losses of whatever nature incurred by you and/or people with you, or for loss or damage to your luggage and/or personal belongings. ICMS Pty Ltd nor CBAA take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

Disclaimer

The Conference program is correct at the time of printing, but the Conference Organisers reserve the right to alter the program as necessary. Neither the host organisation nor the Conference Organisers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes. The Conference Organiser reserves the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.

Mobile Phones
Please respect the presenter and other members of the audience by ensuring your mobile phone and/or pager is switched off or on silent while you are in sessions.
