Community broadcasting stations have embraced online as a dynamic way to further engage with their communities beyond their traditional terrestrial broadcast, building upon their existing audience and connecting with brand new listeners.

This session provides the opportunity to examine how your community broadcasting station engages with your audience online, whether it’s simulcasting, podcasting or audio on demand, in this session we’ll explore the different ways to engage with online delivery of your content.

Presented by:

Chris Johnson, Head of Programs & Services at the CBAA. Chris has been involved with community broadcasting and new media since his time as founding manager of Edge FM in Hobart, Tasmania. Chris manages Online Innovation and the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (Amrap), helping connect contemporary Australian musicians with community radio stations.
