2022 CBAA Women & Gender Diverse People's Forum - 29 October

Each year at the CBAA Conference, we hold the Women & Gender Diverse People’s Forum, an opportunity for community broadcasters who identify as part of this group to get together to discuss the issues that are important to them.

This year's forum was held at the 2022 conference in Cairns for the first time face-to-face since 2019. the forum met and dicussess a number of topics important to many poeple across the sector as well as highlighted place across our sector in need og further development. The CBAA will report back to all members on how we can provide additional support to better reflect the diversity of the sector.

This year's forum was hosted by the outgoing CBAA womens and gender diverse peoples representative Maddy Macquine, however this year there was an election to appoint a new representative in the role as Maddy's term comes to an end. The reuslts of the election saw Megan Williams successful as the groups representative on the CBAA board. Congratulations Megan.
