AICA 2012 Conference Review

The AICA 2012 Conference & AGM was held in Brisbane on 22 & 23 October, an event at which representatives of Indigenous media from across many nations gathered to discuss the conference theme of 'First Nations Media in the Digital Age.'

International guest speakers incluided Ella Henry from Aotearoa New Zealand, and Eileen Egan from the Hopi Tribe in the USA, who shared their experiences and hopes for Indigenous media locally and globally.

The event also covered a range of topics including training programs developed with Indigenous people, Indigenous media and social marketing and delivery models across multi-media platforms.
