AICA appoints new CEO

The Australian Indigenous Communications Association (AICA) is pleased to announce that Mr Conan Fulton has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

Conan Fulton is a Palawa man from Tasmania and a welcome addition to the leadership role of the AICA team.  

He brings a wide range of valuable skills and experience to the organisation from his work across the community, public & private sectors. Conan’s experience covers policy and program development in Indigenous health, education, broadcasting and juvenile justice, project management and secretariat co-ordination, community consultations and stakeholder engagement, both in Australia and the USA.

Conan has worked and as a volunteer in community radio in Hobart, and as producer and presenter for ABC Radio in Hobart, Launceston, Canberra and Sydney.

As CEO, Conan will be steering AICA as they address the opportunities and challenges presented in the convergent media environment and ensuring that the First Australians have a strong and independent voice into the future.
