Seth Jordan will conclude his three year tenure as the CBAA’s Content Services Manager on Thursday, 13 August 2015.

CRN teamSince joining the team in 2012, Seth has been responsible for the management, operation and development of the CBAA’s national program network services, including the Community Radio Network, which distributes over 100 of the best community radio programs from across the country to stations in order to augment their own local programming with nationally relevant content. Delivered via satellite and the Digital Delivery Network (DDN), networked programs include hourly National Radio News bulletins, weekday national current affairs program The Wire, the national weekday country music breakfast program Good Morning Country, and many other specialist music and spoken word shows.

Having previously held management, programming and broadcasting roles at 2ser in Sydney, Artsound in Canberra, 2MCE in Bathurst and 2BBB in Bellingen, Seth brought extensive experience as a music journalist, festival consultant and long-time community broadcaster to this role and has been integral in supporting program makers and CRN subscribers around the country. In addition to regularly being in touch with many community broadcasters and the wider media and arts industries, this has included the introduction of a number of new initiatives including the National Features & Documentary Series and CRN Segments, and increasing the CBAA’s involvement in special festival and event broadcasts.

“It’s been a pleasure to help expand CRN’s programming over the last three years, and provide stations with some of the best content that our creative sector has to offer,” said Seth. “Big thanks to all of CRN’s subscriber stations and to our fabulous program-makers for sharing their broadcasting passion. And extra special thanks and much respect to my hardworking and very dedicated CRN team of Martin Walters, Dan Callaghan and Chris Yates.”

“Seth’s contributions to supporting station programming through the Community Radio Network over the last few years cannot be overstated, with so many stations and program makers benefiting from his experience and knowledge. On behalf of the CBAA Board and staff, I thank him for all of his hard work and wish him all the best with his move and this next adventure on which he’s embarking,” said CBAA Chief Executive Officer Jon Bisset.

In a new role as Head of Programs and Services, Chris Johnson will continue to oversee the management of Amrap as well as taking a leadership role with CRN. As CRN Operations Manager, Martin Walters (pictured left) will assume day-to-day responsibility for the operation of CRN, and Dan Callaghan will continue as CRN’s Technical Production Coordinator (pictured centre).
