Welcome to the March 2018 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

What's in this month's segments?
  • This month we look at the important work Blue Knot Foundation does in providing specialist phone counselling, support, education, resources, and training to help adults traumatised as children recover.
  • We profile Culture is Life, an organisation committed to addressing the high rates of suicide for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • We find out about the resources, advice and strategies ReachOut.com provides for young people affected by bullying.
  • And we catch up with the team from SANE Australia to get some advice on how to respond to someone who isn't OK.
