POSITION: Key Relationships and Station Manager, Salt 1065, Sunshine Coast QLD

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced manager to connect with our valued supporters and lead the local team in this exciting ministry. This rare role located at our Sunshine Coast office is ideal for a leader with a genuine passion for the Purpose and Strategic Intent of Salt 1065 and who displays the values of being humble, being real, and being all in.

The Organisation:

Salt 1065 is a Christian community station which seeks to engage the local community with fun, hope-filled content. We are a small friendly team working alongside a vibrant group of multi-platform media organisations in NSW and QLD. We seek to treat all people with respect, serve our listeners and community well and reveal Jesus Christ to the world, pointing to Him as the source of hope.

The role involves:

• Building excellent supporter relationships to raise financial support for the ministry
• Furthering community involvement and marketing within the local area
• Planning and attending events both during and outside normal business hours
• Leading a positive and engaged local culture within a small staff team and volunteers
• Participation in the senior management team and working cooperatively with all departments to achieve Strategic Priorities
• Accountability for station KPIs and growing a fiercely loyal and active audience

The successful applicant will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience managing people (essential)
• At least 3 years’ fundraising experience (preferred)
• At least 3 years’ radio/media industry experience (preferred)
• A passion for seeing engaging Christian content that connects with listeners on-air and online in line with our mission
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, a ministry heart and a demonstrated ability to connect with a wide range of people
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and a confident public speaker
• A high level of organisational and time management skills
