The Wire - Community broadcasting sector faces key funding cuts

The Wire, the daily current affairs program broadcast on community and Indigenous radio stations around Australia looks at the future of the sector in light of federal funding cuts to digital radio infrastructure and local music distribution service. The cuts were announced in the 2012-13 budget.

The federal government's mid-year budget review is in process and the community broadcasting sector is hoping that funding will be restored to two critical sector projects, Amrap and the Digital Radio Project.
