CMTO CBAA Webinar: Fundraising

On Tuesday 27 May, be sure to tune in to the first CMTO/CBAA Webinar of 2014, looking at the always relevant topic of fundraising.

In 2013, the CBAA in conjunction with the Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO) launched our first series of free webinars for community broadcasters. These online workshops examined various topics of interest specific to the community broadcasters.

To kick of the 2014 series of webinars, we discuss a topic that is always of interest to the sector: fundraising.

Community broadcasters rely on the financial support of their respective communities to remain viable. Although sponsorship has traditionally served as the preferred method for raising revenue, there are a range of alternative streams available for stations to utilise.

Hot off the 2014 3MBS Radiothon, Station Manager Anne Frankenberg will join us to discuss the running of large scale fundraising events.

Has your station considered using online crowdfunding? Meg O’Connell, formerly of 2XX-FM in Canberra, will examine the benefits, difficulties and tasks associated with running a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Participants can engage with webinars from the comfort of their own computer workstation. Anyone with an internet connection can get involved. Best of all, the webinars are offered as a free service.
