What's in this month's segments?

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month we hear about a new report released by mental health service ReachOut which provides vital insights into the mental health of young people living in regional, rural and remote areas across Australia, tracked over a five-year period.

We learn about new research which highlights the importance of looking after our mental health in the workplace.

We find out about the third series of the podcast A World Where LivingWorks, which reminds us all that we don’t have to be an expert to have a role in suicide prevention and learn about suicide first aid.

We catch up with Jackie Hallan from ReachOut to find out how parents and carers can support their teenagers as the ongoing impacts of COVID create uncertainty in their lives.

And we remind you that World Mental Health Day (October 10) is a great time to think about how you’re looking after your mental health.
