Welcome to the February 2018 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

What's in this month's segments?
  • This month we learn about the support MensLine Australia can provide if you’re a man who needs someone to talk to about the problems you’re facing.
  • We catch up with the team at beyondblue to find out how you can recognise the signs and symptoms of anxiety.
  • We provide some practical advice on how to look after yourself after a break up, and how to work through grief when someone you love passes away.
  • And we look at the information, advice and support headspace can provide if you’re a young person who’s experiencing depression, or if you’re going through a tough time.
